How does hypnosis work for weight loss?

Our Easyloss Weight Loss Programmes all have hypnosis for weight loss sessions to listen to which help our clients and our app users to change their relationship with food and become slimmer fitter and healthier.

I’m often asked is ‘What is Hypnotherapy!’ or ‘What is hypnosis for weight loss?’ Some clients have a real fear that I’m somehow going to take control of their minds or make them do something they don’t want to do.
Nothing could be further from the truth. Hypnotherapy and hypnosis will not make you do anything but it will make it so much easier for you to do something that you really want to do.

Even if you believe that you have never experienced hypnosis, the fact is that most of us experience it every day.
It is a very similar feeling to that lovely relaxed feeling you have just has you are drifting off to sleep at night or in the morning when you wake up and are just ‘dozing’ before you decide to get up and get on with your day.
Driving is another good example. Have you ever driven from point A to point B and not remembered the journey in between? I know it happens to me often… sometimes with amusing consequences. Only yesterday I was late for a meeting with friend at the gym because I had driven straight to the office instead of turning off for the gym where I should have done. It was as if I’d just driven there on auto pilot and not had to concentrate at all on where I was going.
Can you think of a time when something similar has happened to you?

 

When starting to use the Easyloss Programme you will notice lots of times when previously you ate ‘on auto pilot’ and ended up ‘somewhere you didn’t intend to be’, feeling over full and angry with yourself for eating something that wasn’t going to help you in your weight loss journey. Using hypnosis in our Easyloss programmes helps us to change our ‘auto pilot’ so that we automatically eat in a healthier way without having to think about it after a few weeks of practice.
The hypnosis sessions help you to achieve that lovely feeling of being calm and relaxed along with a heightened awareness. When you are in that nice relaxed state then any positive suggestions in the hypnosis sessions will help to retrain your subconscious to deal with any negative habits and behaviours you have around food and eating. This will then help you to be more in control of your eating and your relationship with food will become healthier. You will be in control of your food rather than your food controlling you.
