Bikini season is right around the corner so we have grabbed Vicky from Victorias Beauty Foods to give us some healthy, summery smoothie and salad recipes to get you in shape for summer fast!
Gorgeous Grapefruit Salad
This salad will have your fears of rabbit foods flying away forever! Filled with colours, flavours and more! This detoxifying salad combines three super foods to help you shed pounds and purge your body of toxins. Avocado has filling healthy fats and incredible anti-inflammatory effects, quinoa is a complete protein, and the phytonutrients in grapefruit give your liver a boost.
Cook the quinoa for 20 minutes and then leave to absorb the water, run a fork through the grains to separate them. Add rocket, spinach, romaine lettuce and any other leafy greens you like, next add a slice of grapefruit, pomegranate seeds, cucumber and mangetout. Top with an alkalising lemon and grapefruit mixed juice dressing.
1 small banana
1 cup strawberries & raspberries
3 tbsp Coconut Yoghurt
3 tbsp Coconut milk
2 tbsp ground almonds
Luscious Berry Kiss
This creamy dream is delicious, not only does it help with weight management but all of the ingredients are beneficial in boosting the libido!
1 cup strawberries
1 cup almond milk
1/2 cup natural organic yoghurt
Desiccated coconut and fruit of choice to top
Blend all of the ingredients together and top with a sprinkling of coconut and the fruit of your choice! Leave it in the fridge to cool or overnight, enjoy as a breakfast smoothie bowl or creamy dessert.
